From One Mom to Another: Tips on Disney, Races and Kids

I love to travel and I really enjoy traveling with my kids. When I fly I normally choose by price and flight times.  The budget airlines that fly out of my local airport charge for everything, especially luggage. So I have learned to pack in carry on.  It helps that I travel where it is warm most of the time but not always. That being said, here is how I pack for a seven day trip without checking luggage and having spare room for souvenirs.  Everyone in my family packs the same stuff but here is where we start.  My luggage: 1 hard sided carry on - get one with wheels and an expanding zipper 1 medium sized back pack - I like one a day pack style rather than a school style 2 vacuum seal bags - Get the self sealing kind that you roll to get the air out Here is a work outfit. I'm not a huge fan of grocery shopping or waiting in line for food of any kind.  I haven't met a person that wants to spend their vacation hours in line shopping for food or waiting for lunch.  Unless this is you, I have a couple options to avoid these distractions! I am not affiliated with any of these services and I am only reviewing ones I have used and like.   I'm going to cover three types of mobile ordering, there are more but these are the three I use and can recommend. I use Amazon Prime/Pantry and Wal-Mart Pickup at home as well as on vacation.  I use Walt Disney World mobile ordering only at Disney (obviously).  Let's start with Amazon and Wal-Mart because you can use these on any vacation. Adapt and Overcome This is a slogan the US Marine Corps likes to use, I heard it A LOT when I attended air refueling school in my early years in the Navy.  Back then it meant things like, deal with the fact you are the only girl in this school and the closest women's bathroom is 3 buildings away.  Yes, I will walk in when you are at the urinal and no, I don't care.   But that is a different story for a different time.
